Town Garage & Highway Department

The Highway Foreman is appointed by, and works under the authority of, the Selectboard. The Foreman is in charge of the town garage and highway department and uses the highway budget to keep the town highways and roads safe and reliable.  

 

Barnard's four-member highway crew consists of: Foreman Nick Stone, Delmar Balch, Tarkin Clark, and Edge Cole.

 

Road issues of immediate, urgent concern should be directed to the Highway Foreman and general issues or construction needs regarding town roads should be brought to the attention of the Selectboard, who will coordinate with the Foreman.
