MARRIAGE LICENSES: to get married in Vermont you need a marriage license issued by a Vermont town clerk. The license cost is $60 (plus $10 for every certified copy) and is valid for 60 days from the date of issue. An authorized person must perform the wedding ceremony, otherwise the license is void.
