2025 Dog Licensing Fee Increase

All dogs six months of age or older must be licensed each year. Licenses must be purchased between January 1st and April 1st. There is a late fee if purchased after April 1st. In order to license your dog, you must present a copy of a valid rabies certificate and present cash, or a check made payable to “Town of Barnard” for the correct amount. Licenses may be purchased in person at the Town Office or by mail if there is already a current rabies certificate on file for your dog. If registering by mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope for a copy of the license and updated tag to be returned to you.

Fees on or before April 1st:

• If neutered or spayed: $11.00
• If not neutered or spayed: $15.00

Fees after April 1st:

• If neutered or spayed: $16.50
• If not neutered or spayed: $22.50
