Justice of Peace

Although elected by a town, justices of the peace are actually county officers. Justices of the Peace can perform at wedding ceremonies and can serve as election officials. Barnard can elect up to five justices of the peace who serve 2-year terms. The current justices of the peace are Elizabeth Finlayson, Ellen Miles, Paul Doton, and Patricia Hasson.
