Instructions for this Interactive Form
This interactive form helps you prepare your zoning permit application. The "OFFICE USE ONLY" fields are for internal use and cannot be edited. Follow these steps:
- Fill out all the required fields and click **'Print Application'** when you are ready to submit.
- After printing, sign and date the "CERTIFICATIONS" section and attach any required sketches or plans.
- Submit the completed physical copy to the Town of Barnard Administrative Officer, along with a check payable to the 'Town of Barnard'. The fee schedule is available here.
- For a faster review, you can email a scanned copy of your signed application to zoning@barnardvt.us, and then mail in the physical copy and check.
- **We highly recommend calling the Administrative Officer to discuss your project before submitting your application. This can help prevent delays.**
An applicant and/or interested person (as defined in 24 VSA §4464) may appeal any decision of the Administrative Officer to the Development Review Board (DRB) within 15 days of the date of the decision. Said notice shall be in writing, mailed or delivered to the Clerk of the DRB, and give the reasons for the appeal. Failure to appeal this decision may prevent any party from arguing against its elements in a future hearing or appeal. 24 VSA §4472.
